Captain's Report 29 May and 1 June 2010

29 May 2010 Charter Fishing

With the moon having been almost full and up all night, we figure the kingfish had been feeding all night so we decided to head offshore about 8 miles where we had seen a current break on the satellite images. Capt Rich's hunch paid off and as we reached the current break we got our first dolphin bite. Right away we started chumming the water with sardines and we had the school around the boat for about 30 minutes. Along with all the dolphin caught we also caught a barracuda on the troll.

1 June 2010

As a graduation gift to the 2010 Seagull Academy graduates we headed out Tuesday morning to see what we could find. We set up our drift in front of the Boynton Beach Inlet and right away we found ourselves on a school of big blue-runners and remoras. Sadly the seas had been building slowly through the morning and it was time to head in. The graduates, some of whom had never been on a boat, had a ball on their fishing trip and intracoastal cruise.
