This last Saturday the students of the Saturday Fishing Club in Boynton Beach asked if they could show me something new, and wanted to try their hands at freshwater fishing again. They directed me to the pond across the road from Mangrove Park by the Boynton Beach Marina. We grabbed a few buckets of worms and headed out. The fishing was hot right off the bat again. We fished with bobbers and weights and found the bobbers worked better at the pond. The students caught about 50 fish an all were released. We caught Bowfins, catfish, bluegills, small bass, and Mayan cichlids. We fished at the pond for a few hours, and then the kids headed to the boat ramp to continue fishing and caught snappers and grunts until they got tired.
